Two minutes into the game St Clears were awarded a penalty, which Chris Rodenhurst successfully converted to open their account.

 Very little to choose between the two sides until the stroke of half time when captain Daffyd Page scored under the posts, duly converted by Rodenhurst to produce a score of 10 points to 0 at the break.  

Ten minutes into the second half Llansawell were awarded a penalty try which was converted to narrow the gap to just three points. Another penalty for the home side immediately re-established a six point gap however and an excellent try from full back Steffan Lewis (pictured) fifteen minutes later produced some breathing space.

With the home side now enjoying themselves and the visitors struggling to keep them at bay, intense pressure produced two more tries in the last ten minutes of play from the Saints centres, first Tom Windsor and then John Gostling to produce the highly satisfactory final score of thirty points to seven.
