Oh well it had to come sooner or later!

With a string of injuries, very good opposition and a sub standard performance the 100 % record came to an end.

Early signs were good however and there was nothing in it initially, indeed Geraint Jones slotted over a penalty after 10 minutes to give Saints the lead, although this was short lived and a try for the visitors under the posts within minutes, with an easy conversion, put Milford in the driving seat. The home side struggled to produce their normal incisive flowing rugby and they were unable to contain a very good Milford side who were better in every department but no further scoring left the score finely balanced at 7 points to 3.

The weather deteriorated after the break and conditions worsened with handling mistakes the main feature of the game particularly from the usually reliable home backs allowing Milford the opportunity to get well on top. Two tries midway through the second half effectively settled matters, one a push over try from the strong Milford pack, producing an insurmountable score of 16 points.

Two further penalties produced the final score line of 25 points to three and Saints will have some repair work to complete if they are to contend at Cardigan next week!
